hey just stopping bye to say hello and that i think this is a great idea dodiafae i was actually in the spiral scouts when i was younger my mom actually came up with the idea and made the foundation for it and than handed it over to a friend of hers i am glad to hear it has grown the idea actually started being planned out for all the kisd in our group because there were like 14 of us at the time i was an origonal spiral scout so i am glad it is still going :) have a blessed day all of you

Hey all,

Great idea! We have something like that here in the states called Spiral Scouts. It's not "Christian" as the boy scouts are, it's unisex (for boys and girls together), and can give children unbiased exposure to many different paths to foster a feeling of acceptance for the paths of others. It's very nature-based. My sister has started a "Hearth" for her kids (both home-schooled) and they love it.

If nothing else, it may give some additional ideas for the kids' camp. :)

I think this group should just be used to see what members would like to have at a Pagan kids camp and to advertise where and when the camps are on.
We do not want to give away too much.
I would like to see a definite girl/boy theme to the camps. I firmly believe that society is going down the wrong road to deny the biological differences between genders and I think celebrating and embracing our gender differences will only enhance the society in which we live.
I also think safety will be a huge issue for parents and so our policies will be governed by child safety issues both of physical and emotional wellbeing will have to be considered.
